Naomi & Dave’s Wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall
The story behind their Covid Wedding
Naomi and Dave’s wedding was the first ‘Covid Wedding‘ I photographed at the Old Marylebone Town Hall. They originally planned to have 28 guests at their ceremony followed by a reception at The Ivy in Soho. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, they had to downsize to 10 guests followed by a picnic at Regents Park. Nevertheless, they still had their Thailand wedding to look forward to as their Old Marylebone ceremony was only to cover the legal side of their wedding. Bring On Thailand!!!
What a beautiful day
Put aside all the doom and gloom of changing their wedding plans, what an amazing day it was!! Beautiful bride & groom, beautiful weather, and guests who were determined to have fun. Their legal ceremony was fun and cozy. The registrars were absolutely wonderful and conducted the ceremony with loads of banters and laughter. Despite the restrictions, the ceremony was not shorter than it usually would. After the ceremony, we had ‘bubble fun’ on the steps of the town hall followed by group photos. I definitely would recommend bubbles over confetti as they make the most amazing photos. Even adults turn into kids with a bubble gun in their hands!
After the ceremony, we walked across the road for a few drinks at the Allsop Arms. Again, due to restrictions, we had a whole portion of the pub to ourselves. Dave, who was wearing a traditional kilt even did the honors of showing that he went ‘commando’ on the day. Drinks were then followed by a picnic at regents park.
Looking forward to their wedding at Sri Panwa in Thailand in 2022 (postponed from 2021). Enjoy the photos!
