Capturing unforgettable moments at Chelsea Old Town Hall

As a Chelsea Old Town Hall wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing hundreds of weddings in this stunning building. This historic venue exudes elegance and charm, providing a timeless backdrop for couples to say their vows. Chelsea Old Town Hall also carries a sense of history and romance that sets it apart from other wedding venues. Each room has its own story to tell, and as a wedding photographer, I aim to capture not only the love between couples but also the essence of their surroundings. From intimate moments shared in hidden corners to extravagant celebrations in opulent ballrooms, there is no shortage of captivating imagery waiting to be captured at this enchanting venue.
What sets Chelsea Old Town Hall weddings apart is their visual splendour and their versatility. With multiple rooms available for hire, couples have ample options according to their preferences and guest list size. Whether you dream of an intimate affair in the Brydon Room or desire a lavish celebration in the Main Assembly Hall, a space within Chelsea Old Town Hall is waiting to bring your vision to life.

Planning your wedding photography at Chelsea Old Town Hall

I shoot around 25 weddings at Chelsea Old Town Hall every year and have shot hundreds of weddings there over the past few years. Planning your wedding photography at Chelsea Old Town Hall is no mean feat. There are so many moving parts before and after the ceremony that nailing the timing can be challenging. Points to bear in mind are:

  • Your guests will only be allowed into the ceremony room 15 – 20 minutes before the ceremony. So before they are allowed in, guests will have to wait in a small waiting room.
  • The interview with the groom will start 15 – 20 minutes before the ceremony.
  • The bride’s interview will be held after the groom has had his.
  • Some of the rooms have a very short ailse aisle.
  • Book a photographer who can shoot in low light as light is scarce in all the ceremony rooms.
  • Plan to have confetti photos on the steps after the ceremony as they make terrific images.
  • Time for photos on the outside steps is limited as it is very likely to be crowded with guests from other weddings.
