1. The Oval Space

Oval Space is an amazing warehouse-style venue finished to a very high standard that offers 5,000 square feet of unobstructed event space, with the iconic backdrop of the Bethnal Green Gas Holders. Two terraces frame the venue on the West and South side, providing a summer reception space and / or BBQ garden with a striking view. Although it is full of unique features,
Oval Space offers a fantastic blank canvas, making it a venue of choice for an extraordinarily wide range of events.

2. Dalston Heights

Dalston Heights sits on top of a floor of a former cardboard box factory, a unique urban space, rich with texture and plenty of striking photographic backdrops.
The total floor area is 7,200 sq ft split into two distinct working areas plus a large make-up & styling room. The spaces are filled with a collection of eclectic props and furniture which can be arranged to suit. There is an eye-catching pitched roof with iron support structure in one room and skylights throughout offering good natural light in the daytime.
Dalston Heights has a separate kitchen area which can be used for catering.

3. Ace Hotel

Ace Hotel London’s brand new, 7th floor event space is huge — Over 3,000 square feet total, a huge outdoor terrace and amazing views. The space is a cinch to transform. Not only that, but they’ve got a couple of amazing resources right on site: Hoi Polloi — modern English brassiere — and That Flower Shop, a oral and botanical design studio
While you’re up on the 7th Floor, you’ll have access to the bird’s-eye bar and terrace that take over the whole of our 1243 square foot rooftop. It’s decked out with furnishings by Michael Marriott, a first-of-its-kind lighting installation by Fabien Cappello and panoramic views.
All corners of The 7th Floor are just as adaptable to your nuptial needs. There’s the sibling Griffin and Empire rooms (886 and 721 square feet, respectively) allowing for a larger dining space, plus the economical Bower (391 square feet) and Stingo (424 square feet) — each easy to tailor to your heart’s desire.

4. JJ Wimbourne House

Available as an exclusive wedding venue, Wimbourne House is comprised of several large open plan spaces, which can be used independently or in combination.

The Old Dairy is the newest licensed Hackney venue on our list, this urban venue used to house the dairy cows that grazed on Hackney and Walthamstow Marshes. The building is centred around the Main Hall but also has numerous side rooms, all full of character, which are included in the hire, ideal for those couples looking for something a bit different for their wedding ceremony and reception. The Dairy is available in 3 day bookings as standard, covering the day before and after your event.


Kachette is a railway arch warehouse located under the railway bridge on bustling Old Street in Shoreditch. Kachette’s beautiful black gated entrance opens into the original ticket hall of the former Shoreditch Station.
Kachette is a perfect wedding venue for couples seeking a unique and historic venue in vibrant Shoreditch. Kachette is licensed for wedding ceremonies and receptions and can be booked as a one room or two room venue. Arch 1 can host standing receptions for up to 180 guests or seated receptions for up to 80 guests. Hire the whole venue for larger receptions or ceremonies to cater for 330 guests or 115 seated guests. Village Underground offers a renovated warehouse space retaining Victorian features and authentic aspect, including railway influences, vaulted bricked arches. This versatile and creative venue is suitable for large weddings in an unusual setting. The venue is available for dry hire, providing a

So, for our last one we cheated a little, Sager + Wilde event space is technically located in Hackney’s neighbouring borough, Tower Hamlets. Situated in the Railway Arches of Bethnal Green, Sager + Wilde Paradise Row consists of a Terrace, Restaurant and Mezzanine Private Dining Room, making it the perfect space for a unique urban wedding.
You can choose from Dinner in their Private Dining Room to a drinks
reception on the Terrace in the sunshine or a full venue exclusive. With a large open space downstairs, they can create a dance floor after dining so you and your guests can dance the night away.
